Panchakarma – The Ultimate Ayurvedic Detox and Rejuvenation Therapy
What is Panchakarma?
Panchakarma is a Sanskrit word that means “Five Actions” or “Five Treatments”. It is one of the most powerful detoxification and rejuvenation procedures in Ayurveda. Panchakarma is not just a therapy, it is a comprehensive healing process that removes accumulated toxins (called Ama), restores the balance of the Doshas (Vata, Pitta, Kapha), and rejuvenates the body, mind, and spirit.
Panchakarma is a personalized treatment protocol based on an individual’s body constitution (Prakriti), current state of health (Vikriti), digestive strength (Agni), age, lifestyle, and season.
Ayurveda is based on the idea that the universe is made up of five basic elements:
Earth (Prithvi), Water (Jal), Fire (Agni), Air (Vayu), and Space (Akasha)
Each person has a unique mix of these doshas that defines their Prakriti (individual constitution). Disease arises when these doshas become imbalanced due to poor diet, lifestyle, environment, or stress.

Vata (Air + Space)
Governs movement

Pitta (Fire + Water)
Governs digestion and metabolism

Kapha (Earth + Water)
Governs structure and lubrication
